Jennifer Alton is a freelance book editor with over six years of experience in-house at Berkeley’s Counterpoint Press. Her books have been lauded by major outlets including The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and NPR.
Her own writing appears in Lumen, Entropy, and Vertebrae, was a semi-finalist in the Conium Review’s Innovative Short Fiction contest, and has twice received an honorable mention in Glimmer Train’s Short Story Award for New Writers. She graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a BA in Literature/Writing, and holds an MFA in Creative Writing (Fiction) from San Francisco State University. She is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Ukraine 2011-2013) and lives in San Diego, California.
